I am getting my 2010 red Outlander 800 XT this coming Friday. The dealer has forwarded me the VIN. Can anyoone tell me when where it was produced etc???? here is the VIN# 3jbekhn14aj000120 Thanks Ghis
from that, i gather it was made in mexico and it is an outlander 800 XT, lol. honestly, i haven't seen a way to decode the VIN number on these yet. but i'm pretty sure all the new ones are made in mexico. what other info are you looking for? __________________ highlifter's most wanted!!! Region: 1 3 North America Country: 1-2 3J Mexico Manufacturer: 2-3 JB Unknown Model Specific: 4-8 EKHN1 Unknown Check Digit: 9 4 Valid Year: 10 A 1980 Assembly Plant: 11 J J Serial Number: 12-17 000120 120 Obviously the year is wrong... From looking at several the "E" kolla reg is for Outlander, "H" in that position would be Renegade. I assume KHN is Red 800 XT, Camo 800 XTs are KPN, Yellow is KCN ect. So the 6th digit is color...Camo P, Red H, Yellow C ect...I'll break it all down digit by digit when I have more time.
